The Material Library

What We’re Made Of

Every fabric decision reflects our commitment to sustainability. We work with six material categories chosen for their environmental performance, durability, and comfort—because the most sustainable products are those designed to be worn and valued for years.

Organic Eucalyptus Rib

Certified Tencel™ lyocell from sustainably managed eucalyptus forests, produced in a closed-loop system that recaptures solvents and water. Naturally thermoregulating, biodegradable, and softer with every wash. Our signature fabric.

Organic Hemp French Terry

Hemp and organic cotton, requiring no pesticides and a fraction of the water of conventional cotton. Enzyme-washed for a softness that deepens with wear. Improves soil health with every harvest. The foundation of our most-worn styles.

Recycled Eco Mesh

Post-consumer recycled nylon, diverted from landfill and transformed into a lightweight architectural second-skin. Raw-edge detailing. The most structured fabric in our library — and the most consequential origin story.

Zero Waste Design

The original SMV discipline. Traditional vintage garments — leather jackets, military surplus, workwear — deconstructed and rebuilt through zero-waste pattern-making. Every cut is accounted for. Nothing goes in the bin. The practice that started everything.

Hand-Sourced Vintage Denim

Every pair is one of one. Vintage denim hand-sourced, deconstructed, and reworked in our Los Angeles studio. No two are identical — each carries its own patina, wear history, and character. Zero waste by definition.

Deadstock & Limited-Run Fabrics

Surplus yardage from luxury production runs, intercepted before landfill. Each deadstock style is produced in quantities dictated entirely by the fabric we find. When it’s gone, it’s gone. The most honest relationship between supply and demand.

Shop Limited Editions

Within 30 Miles

Production centered within a 30-mile radius of our Los Angeles studio. Family-owned sewing partners. Fair wages. Safe conditions. Local means accountable.

Documented Impact

Our environmental footprint is tracked through Green Story — a third-party platform that quantifies what our material choices actually mean. Documented, not implied.

Zero Waste Collaboration

Applied our circular methodology at commercial scale with Levi’s, FWRD/Revolve, and IRO — transforming partner excess inventory into considered, sellable design.
